Coworking
I just came across an article in the Chicago Tribune about coworking. It’s a term used to describe office space that’s shared by several people, usually self-employed entrepreneurs or part-time employees looking to escape from their spare bedroom at home, the local Starbucks or other workspace.
According to the article, “Coworking sites first showed up in the San Francisco Bay area three years ago, and with its concentration of mobile, high-tech entrepreneurs, it remains a stronghold, with such coworking spaces as the Hat Factory, Citizen Space and Sandbox Suites. But now, there are at least 38 coworking spaces already open or preparing to launch in the U.S. and other countries, according to the Coworking Community Blog at blog.coworking.info.”
Google the term “coworking” and the first link that is returned is to coworking wiki. As with many other public wikis, it’s a mixed bag with certain sections being much more developed than others.
As a soon-to-be entreprenur myself, I will certainly look into coworking as a possiblity for my workspace needs.

Awesome info! I was honestly just thinking about something similar to this the other day so, it was almost “weird” when I ran across this. You would be surprised how many people simply have no idea when it comes to this kind of stuff. Anyway, thanks for getting this info out there and I’m sure I’m not the only one who appreciates you taking the time to post this for the masses.
